We are currently raising funds to support the creation of a new evening-length dance work, Sylph. Developed in close collaboration with 5 ballet dancers over the past year, Sylph examines the interior experience of the feminine in ballet, and asks how we define and consume it as viewers. With music by composer Jon Mueller, dancers explore their agency, power, and connection to each other in this performance in the round.

Premier: Jan Serr Studio, October 11 + 12

Current dancers: Sejain Bastidas, Annia Hidalgo, Janel Meindersee, and Itzel Hernandez. Each of these dancers have illustrious careers and have performed around the world. A vital aspect of our mission is to create a sustainable, free-lance platform in Milwaukee for the exceptionally talented dancers who call MKE home.

The overall project is estimated to cost between $12,000 - $12,500.
$3319 in space + floor rentals, $5000 rehearsal fees,$2000 equipment and materials, and $2000 designer fees
Through grants and individual donations, we have currently raised $2950 (as of May 21st, 2024)! Thank you to our generous supporters!
